Are you keeping up?

Day 10 of 29... Have you been keeping up? Have you tried yet something new? (Use that fancy patterned paper....? Open the tub or acrylic paint that you bought months ago...? Done a different size of your usual...?)
Well, I hope to hear you have!

I want to mention something that keeps popping up in the comments and private notes: What blog to use. Basically, all kinds of blogs are fine BUT there are some that only allow members to post a comment, so you will not be getting many comments if only 3 people are in that same kind of blog site.
Some are completely private to not members so they won't even see the image! In those cases, I notify the person and we can do something about it.

Also, if you have the "dynamic" display in blogspot, not everyone knows that the comment link shows only after clicking the blog post title. That can get a bit tricky.

If the blog is not art related, sorry peeps, but it will be removed. It is not fair for the rest of us face fanatics to be doing our run of close to 200 posts and BAM! Some unrelated face-less post from months ago.... huh?

Oh! now that I'm talking about doing the rounds of "close to 200 blogs" ... OMG captcha verification nightmare! Please dearest bloggers.... check your settings and turn that off, if only for the challenge! ♥
You will have more comments, will make your readers feel welcome, and all of us will have a smoother blog traveling if we won't have to stop in the brick wall of the captcha.

In my case, I see it behind a window, and when not... it has this ridiculously tangled letters that even if I hit to switch for another, I still can't read and by then the glorious dreamy sensation of looking at the art kind of dissolves  :oP
Set it to moderate, and you still can control what gets posted, without using that. :o)

OK.... Hugs to all, I hope you are having a great time... I am!! ♥
Lets keep making faces!! yaaay!

  1. Ha ha, captcha verification, UGGGH, half the time I can't read it either, I think I had more spam in the early days when I actually had it turned on, love to see if it does anything except annoy comment writers LOL!

  2. I've been keeping up and I've been having a great time! Bless this challenge, I've found inspiration again.

But commenting, yes, some problems. I've not managed to leave my comment to every blog that I'd wanted to, it's a nuisance. There are so many fabulous faces I've seen and I'd like to appreciate them, but no can do...

Thanks for this lovely challenge, greetings from Helsinki, Finland.

  3. Thanks for holding this challenge. I am really enjoying taking part. So far I have managed to keep up.I don't find faces so daunting as before and I have started working with oil pastels which I have only used in the past to make smudgy outlines.

  5. Am drawing a lot larger now and am trying the best that I can, drawing a face a day has definitely speeded up my drawing skills, it used to take me a couple of hours to do a face, now only 30 minutes. Question: I have two blogs an art blog and a crafting blog, but the link always go to my crafting blog, is there anyway around that please?

    1. What link are you talking about? One you added to the Mr Linky? Or the ID/icon when you comment?
If it is the Linky, it will show whatever you type in.
If it is the icon when commenting, you can do an "Open ID" comment and type your blog address as a name, depending on which blog you want to have people follow. You select "Comment as" and there's a little menu, check "Open ID" *if the blog allows for open IDs, it should work. Not everyone allows that though.

If it is something else, let me know.

  6. Really enjoying the 29 Faces Martha, and managing to make myself get out of my comfort zone quite a few times, which is good for me, so thank you. I wish I could get round all 200 blogs, but life plus 29 Faces leave little time for commenting, so I try to visit a new one every day or two.

  9. I am keeping up too. Barely! This is a great challenge. If i hit word verification, I just don't go back to the blog again, it just is too much work. I have been doing sketches of family members and also historical figures. One gal has talked me into doing an upside down drawing! thanks for doing this. I don't get many comments, but it isn't slowing me down.
